Prepackaged Software License

Overview
- The Prepackaged Software License, also known as a "Shrink-wrap" Software License, is designed for use with software sold through retailers or other mass market outlets.
- This agreement is normally used for software that is licensed to personal or home users for software that may be distributed through retail stores or other third parties.
- This document is not intended for complex business use.  If you need a license for more sophisticated software licensed to business use the Software License Agreement included in this same category.
- This license limits the rights of the licensee so that they cannot sell, share, or otherwise distribute the software.  Additionally, it limits the end use consumer's rights to modify, or in anyway change the software in question.
- This license specifically lays out restrictions on the end user.  Additionally, it has clauses relating to Enhancements, or Warranties provided for by the developer of the software who is licensing its use.

When You Need It
- To allow a software developer to license software directly to an end user.
- It is designed for software that is "shrink-wrapped" and sold by retail distribution to consumers.
